Alexis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from BU, complemented by an Intensive Counselling Diploma. Her educational background is further enhanced by certifications in Trauma-Informed Care, Addictions, and Harm Reduction. Eager to deepen her expertise, Alexis plans to pursue her Master’s degree online at Yorkville University next fall.


Alexis is deeply committed to making a positive impact in the community through her work at Otter Home. She enjoys helping individuals and families grow and succeed. In her free time, she likes cooking, baking, reading, doing yoga, camping, gardening, and organizing, all of which show her caring nature and interest in connecting with others.


With six years of diverse healthcare experience, Alexis has held various roles that enhance her ability to support youth and families. She has worked at BAES, where she supervised CFS visits and provided counselling within the School Division. Since Otter Home launched last year, Alexis began her role as a Night Mentor and quickly found her passion for coordinating aftercare and organizing daily activities, making her an essential part of the team. Her journey is defined by a true commitment to improving the lives of families.
