Peggy Colon is a proud member of Tootinaowazibeeng Treaty Reserve and a dedicated Indigenous Counsellor committed to supporting the healing and well-being of children, youth, and families. As the Owner of Five Feathers Counselling, Peggy provides culturally grounded, holistic, and trauma-informed services rooted in Indigenous worldviews and guided by the strengths of her community.


Peggy holds a Bachelor of General Studies, Bachelor of Education, and a Master's in Counselling and Psychology, and is recognized nationally as a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC). She brings over 15 years of experience teaching and supporting Indigenous communities across Manitoba and Alberta combining academic expertise. 


Specializing in working with children and youth, Peggy focuses on trauma, grief and loss, emotional regulation, and supporting young people in reconnecting with their culture and sense of belonging. Her practice integrates the Medicine Wheel, storytelling, relationship-centered care to nurture balance in the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of wellness. When working with clients she creates a safe space where children and teens can explore their feelings at their own pace. Peggy incorporates play, mindfulness, sand tray, expressive art, EMDR and talk therapy.


With warmth, empathy, and a deep commitment to healing, Peggy creates safe spaces where individuals can explore their stories, strengthen resilience, and move forward with confidence and cultural pride.
